- Congratulations to Nighttown's Jim Wadsworth. Jim does all the music booking at Nighttown. Jim was just named a 2013 Jazz hero by the Jazz Journalists Association. Click here to read why Jim won this prestigious award. Jim was also interviewed recently by Thomas Mulready for CoolCleveland, talking about 14 years of jazz at Nighttown. You can see that interview here.
- Jim Caruso's Cast Party, with pianist Billy Stritch, came to Nighttown in search of musical talent. Direct from 8 years at Birdland in New York City, Cast Party is what would happen if David Letterman threw a house party at Ed Sullivan's around Ed's grand piano. If you missed it and you love Broadway-style showtunes, we have good news for you: we shot the whole show on videotape, which you can view here. Thanks to Dave Narosny at NAR Video for the videography.

Nighttown - One of the 25 Restaurants Cleveland Can't Live Without"
- Scene Magazine
"The closest thing Cleveland has to an Algonquin Round Table is Nighttown, a New York-style supper club that attracts a most deliciously diverse clientele. Named by Down Beat magazine as one of the world's "100 Great Jazz Clubs," Nighttown draws the serious music fans for sure. But there is far more to the joint than hot licks and cool chords. The menu is decidedly old-school but well-executed, with dishes like whole artichokes, roast duck, trout amandine and Dublin Lawyer ruling the roost. The comfortably appointed dining rooms, bar and patio burble with conversation as doctors, professors, writers, artists and students exchange bon mots over bouron and beer. It's this rare triple identity - as serious restaurant, inspired jazz club, and especially as living room to an intellectual community - that makes people continue to flock to "The Top of the Hill."

But we do now.
