Inside this local gem in Cleveland Heights, life is being restored.
“We had to preserve Nighttown,” said Levy. “Nighttown is a 50+ year institution.”
This upgrade comes after the popular restaurant and music venue has been sitting in the dark for the last three years.
“There’s not a day that goes by in the last two years that someone says to me when is Nighttown going to open,” said Levy.

A popular spot in Cleveland Heights is getting a multimillion-dollar upgrade and renovation.
Neighbors in the Cedar-Fairmount area are eagerly awaiting the return of Nighttown.
After the storied restaurant, bar and music venue closed its doors during the pandemic, the ownership group behind Red The Steakhouse got involved and has invested nearly two years in remodeling and refreshing the historic space.

One of the most common questions I hear from friends and readers is: “What is happening with Nighttown?”The query is understandable given the property’s recent history. Longtime owner Brendan Ring shuttered the Cleveland Heights restaurant and club at the start of the pandemic citing a moral obligation to the community as his motive. Nighttown reopened for outdoor dining during the summer of 2020 before closing its doors once again the following fall. Those doors have remained closed ever since.
